I had great hopes for blogging this year, but some time in the last couple of week those hopes have caught a ride on the clouds and evaporated into thin air.
I would lay in bed and all of these fantastic ideas would come to me and I would say to myself, Oh yes, tomorrow...
Tomorrow would come. Tomorrow would go. It seems to be that my energy is fading, but with good reason. We are expecting another little blessing!! A gift from God!
All I can say is the Good Lord must have more faith in me than I have I myself. These last two will be 15 months apart! I can't wait to see what the Lord has planned for us through out the year. I'm not looking for big plans, just His faithfulness, and us drawing closer to Him. That's pretty big in my opinion.
I will be taking a break from blogging. I don't know if I will be back. I can't seem to find the time or energy for it lately. I will be taking this time to draw close to my sweet little family. Pray for us during this time.
My health has been better so far than any other pregnancy and I know it's the Lord helping me through this faith stretching time in my life. God is good!
I will still be drawing inspiration from all the blogs that I enjoy frequenting. Keep it up, Y'all!
I am pretty excited to share that I started my own sour dough starter from scratch. It actually took off and has produced yeast! For me this is a big accomplishment. To all my local friends that have a taste for sour dough, I would love to share some of the starter with you once it becomes good and mature.
Well, it has been a blessing being able to share snippets of my life and thoughts with you all, and I have made some truly wonderful friends during my blogging. For me now, this chapter is closing. I am an All or Nothing kind of gal though, so I'm sure if I get a whim to start it back up in the future, you will be hearing from me.
More Blessing to Ya!
More Blessings to Come

Home Management Notebook
I would like to share with you something that has really helped me get organized this year. That is my Home Management Notebook. Now, mine is not fancy and I am still working on tweaking and improving it, but I think it's a beauty! Not because of the appearance, but of what it holds inside:)
I would take a picture of it, but you might laugh...
Most of it is hand written because our printer was out of commission until recently when my sister-in-love gifted me with a extra one that she had lying around! Boy, was I thankful!
I hope to keep you updated as I improve it's contents.
I'll explain to you what mine is all about...
I have 8 sections right now-schedules, cleaning, finance, ideas, chores, homesteading (or gardening), family cookbook, & grocery.
I would encourage you if you are a newlywed, grandmother, have one child or ten, this is a big help!
You have all your essentials in one spot, and you don't have to go fishing around for everything when you need it. If I would have started one of these when it was just me and my husband, I believe things would be going a lot smoother now...
Schedules- this is where I break down the plan for my day. I have a generic schedule for everyday except for the weekend. If different days of the week hold different activities for you then you might need to make different schedules for different days of the week-or not. It's your choice. Aren't you glad we all have one? A choice that it;)
Finance-this is where I stick my bills at when they come in the mail. I also have a list of when each bill is due along with a simple budget plan.
Ideas-This is where I stick those magazine clippings that I just can't part with. I also keep decorating ideas and wish list here. I need to add wish list for the kids here. It would make birthday time go smoother.
Chores- I have a breakdown of my cleaning and the kid's chores in this section with a detailed description of each chore so that anyone, including the kids, can understand. I have learned that children don't just know how to clean their room. You have to break it down to them step by step otherwise it becomes overwhelming.
Homestead- This is where I keep up with my chickens and the garden. I put ideas, what has worked and not worked for me, and my hopes of expanding.
Family Cookbook- I keep a list of our family favorites and the recipe to it. I have a breakfast, main chorus, sides, and dessert section so far.
Grocery- I keep grocery list, menus, and coupons in here. This area needs some work.
I hope you kind of get the idea. Like I said it has really helped me keep some things together. I hope to improve it and work out the kinks as I go.
What about you? Do you keep a Management Notebook? Maybe you can give me some helpful hints!

Happy New Year!
I have always said that my New Year's resolution was to not make any resolutions. That way I could keep them. I have been under the weather for a while now and I have had time to ponder some things in my life and I do believe it is time for me to set some goals.
I see the need to start some good habits in my family. I didn't realize that my lack of order has really caused chaos in our home and some self discipline on my part would really help. I'm learning that no habits really means bad habits and OH have I failed in this area.
Instead of looking back over all my mistakes all I can do is ask for forgiveness from the Lord and his help to accomplish what he has set out for me to accomplish.
Some of my goals this year are to keep the children in a daily routine... spend more time in the word and in prayer... take better care of myself and my family through the food I prepare and we consume... listen to others more (especially my children!)... do a better job or keeping my garden and my chickens instead of getting lazy and putting the whole work load on my husband...Be a better help meet to my husband instead of a advisor, trusty his decisions more... Present a better attitude toward those I love...and....Blog More!
God is dealing with me to focus on the ones he has given me that I might not loose them. What love the Father shows His children and so often I overlook the blessings right in front of me.
I hope 2012 is a good year for you and that most importantly you grow closer to the Savior!
More Blessings to come....

Fall Field Trips...
I had to really get on the ball this year with our homeschool due to our state laws. It was good for me though. A little pushing in the right direction and I am learning that I really CAN do this, with the Lord's help of course!! Without Him my everything would be in vain.
Our homeschool covering's coordinator did a good job of getting a few field trips together. I have to admit it is hard for me to get out because #1- I am a bit of a home body, and #2- taking all 5 of my children who happen to be 7 years and under out by myself kind of intimidates me.
Well, my Momma stepped up and helped me during our field trips and we all ended up having a blast. One of our trips was to a sea lab with a planetarium....
It was a great way to learn about the sea life on the Gulf Coast....
We enjoyed a lot of hands on activities such as holding sea urchins, sea stars, and even touching a sting ray!!!! (it was barb-less of course!!)
This was a hands on tank full of all kinds of interesting sea life...
Reviewing what we had learned...
This little guy was pretty cute...
On to space..............North, South, East, West, Zenith, Jupiter..............
There just happened to be a meteor shower that evening (well...3am). Daddy got up with DD1 and they caught the tail end of it. I like to think God planned it just for us:)

Yummy Goodness
Can I share something wonderful good with you? It is fabulous and if you have a sweet tooth like myself I think you will enjoy this treat. I think it is perfect for fall and ever time the fall winds start to blow I go digging through my recipe books in search of the perfect cinnamon roll recipe. Until this year I would experiment to no avail every recipe I could get my hands on and just never found the one for me.
A couple weeks ago we were in revival at our church and the evangelist's wife, she was so sweet by the way, told me about a Cinnabon Clone recipe and I just had to try it. I stumbled upon one here-
http://hearttoheart.wordpress.com/2010/04/03/cinnabon®-cinnamon-rolls-clone-recipe/
and was very pleased! This will definitely be my go to recipe for cinnamon rolls from now on. Now, I know nothing about this blog that I found the recipe on and have not read anything from it except for this recipe, so please be cautious.
Blessing to You on this lovely fall weeknend...

I AM THAT I AM
What joy and happiness comes from serving those you love!
Contentment in making those around you smile and feel blessed.
Kind words, gentle spirits...
Not having to know all the answers but just to answer with love...
What a peace that comes with self sacrifice.
Giving up our own desires to further the goodness of someone else.
To make sure they have the best in life...
Not as the world sees best but as the Father sees best....
After all we are redeemed by the incorruptible...
It is easy to find this road with the ones we love and care about
but what about the ones that hurt us...
The ones that don't understand the good we are trying to do.
I feel His hand on my shoulder as He tells me...
Contentment in making those around you smile and feel blessed.
Kind words, gentle spirits...
Not having to know all the answers but just to answer with love...
What a peace that comes with self sacrifice.

It is easy to find this road with the ones we love and care about
but what about the ones that hurt us...
The ones that don't understand the good we are trying to do.
I feel His hand on my shoulder as He tells me...
"They don't understand you, because they don't understand Me my child...
Show them who I AM and what I can do. Show kindness to the hardhearted, Show patience to the quick tempered, show loving honesty to those whom you can't trust, show love to those who hate you...
For I AM kindness and I AM patience, I AM truth, and I AM LOVE...
I AM THAT I AM, show them ME through you..."
